Hello, I'm Rinalds Vanadzins, also known as Hawk—an urban explorer and artist carving out my own path. Raised in the neighborhoods of Riga, I recognized the potential to infuse vibrant colors and stories into the grayness of the urban landscape, thus challenging the perception that graffiti, often labeled as vandalism, can indeed be a high-quality work of art.
Working with spray paints involves mastering specific techniques, which I've been practicing for 15 years now. In larger formats, these skills translate into creating spatial graffiti letters and utilizing stencil techniques. For smaller formats on canvas, I usually opt for a mixed technique - combining spray paints with acrylics. The words that characterize my artistic vision are sensitivity, plasticity, and attention to detail. My sources of inspiration can be found in the dynamic urban space, extreme activities, and the tranquility of nature.
Expanding my horizons, I'm genuinely happy to express my creative interpretation and God-given talent in shaping people's places.
Formally established, I work both locally - in Latvia, Riga - and abroad.
